Here's a longer video that shows the actual customizations you can do. This is for the female winged race. You're able to modify all of the facial features so there's almost an unlimited amount of faces you can create.
If you want you can even recreate your own face in the game. This one of the features that Perfect World advertises. They even recreated a few famous faces for examples.

LOTR Online or Star Trek Online are both good and have great graphics. As far as a free MMO, Allods Online is very polished and isn't a grind fest like most f2p MMOs. On the down side Allods is pretty much a WoW clone with it's own spin on things.
